Wind Resistance

Most ultralight tents achieve low weight by shrinking in size and sacrificing durability and wind resistance. In contrast, the X-Mid reduces weight through efficient design, such as its trekking pole structure, which is stronger and lighter than traditional tent poles, and maximizes fabric area volume. This allows the X-Mid 2 to remain a robust shelter suitable for harsh conditions while keeping its weight low.

The X-Mid's protective features include a double-wall design, full-coverage fly (extending low to the ground to block wind and splash), fly-first pitch (keeping the interior dry when setting up in rain), polyester fabric (which won't sag and stretch like nylon), large adjustable vents, durable waterproof coating, abrasion-resistant fabric, factory seam-sealed, and protected doorways that keep rain out even when open.
